As I said, I tried to keep it in context to the vote, but I found it hard to do address it without opening up ancillaries, which, as is already evident, is taking a life of its own that's stealing energy away from this thread. I've always kept an open door policy regarding PMs with Cathyq, but I think you can see that she's not interested in that as much as fabricating justifications to generate drama with anyone she can, out in the open, to attract attention to herself. So far as I can tell, we have only three members running for mod (I don't see the point in voting a "temporary" mod, so I'm not counting Paula in this one -no offense or anything Paula): Myself - 6 votes from Little Lightning Bolt, Sol, Will, Bill, Shesha, Gehenna Steve - 4 votes from Paula, Dawn, Dale, Freewill Dawn - 3 votes from Brian, glisTenz, and Lori I think it's safe to say that voting for one's self doesn't count. However, I'm suddenly remembering past presidents being shown as casting a vote at the polls for themselves, so if the majority thinks that's allowable, I won't object, however, I don't see the point of it since it would raise all nominations by a vote of one anyway. Btw, Dawn voted for Steve, but she's running too. Should that count then? It doesn't make sense to me that one who's running would vote for someone running against them -even though this is for the same cause: voting in a new mod to see if that improves the atmosphere here. If I've miscounted, please someone correct.

Paula, the general guidelines for voting in new moderators was covered a long time ago on this tribe and has been observed on other tribes as well. 30 days is the basic deadline for voting on new moderators, so I've simply observed long-established protocol. LOL, thanks for clearing that up Alexyana :o) I think most people experience a bit of pseudodyslexia after being online for too long. That's why I can only handle being "plugged in" for short periods of time. It'd be great if all was well in Nonamae's life and she could be more active here, because other than her absenteeism, she's a great moderator as she possesses, IMO, all the other ideal qualities of one.

Paula, my comment had nothing to do with Alexyana (.) I think I may've read or misread something someone said her or on the other Mod thread that gave me the notion that the intention in this thread is to vote *for* someone, not *against* anyone in particular. That's really besides the point though since what matters here is the principle I spoke of. To restate it pointedly, to maintain an atmosphere of respect and the general principles of this tribe, let's all vote for who we want rather than who we don't want. Saying who we're *against* is really pretty pointless and only leads to unnecessary destructive pathways of energy.
