I feel that an unbiased MOD with experience working with large groups is one solution. Despite the concerns I mentioned about moderating here myself, I'll offer to do so just the same if others here would like that. The last time I asked for a new MOD everyone agreed that I was wrong for asking. I complied with that request. This issue has been brought up many times, and so far, people have resisted voting in a new mod. Perhaps the dike is breaking at last? Many here have stood up against Cathyq's routine and called for new moderation. What does this actually accomplish? I would like to know the answer to this. Otherwise, our antagonist gets to hold the highest power in the tribe. Understanding Conscious relating includes understanding power dynamics and knowing when to step up (with understanding and compassion) and take away anything that takes away from the purpose of the tribe by taking away the cause of the problems power. I find this tribe has been sucked dry without any ability to communicate for at least 6 months. Nothing much has been done, except the "don't feed the troll" mentality. "Conscious Relating" to this individual so far hasn't helped us, and cannot help us unless everyone who is amongst the tribe is at least willing to relate in this manner... If we were a real tribe with this as a base philosophy, and an individual disrupted all activities within that tribe, the tribe would stand up for itself. To me, this tribe does not stand up for itself, and in a larger context it shows a weakness within the "conscious relations" ideal which is attempted to be attained here. If we wish to continue the 'lack of moderation' then we have to take a deeper analysis at the problem, the weaknesses of the approach we have chosen, and consciously choose as a group how to fully face the issue and stand up to the challenge. Current moderator is doing fine. In fact, IMHO, a hands off moderator fosters community building efforts and exercise within the group—without resorting to power struggles vis a vis “working the moderator”. The assertion that the tribe is dead because of a nonexistant mod does not hold. The emptiness is arguably because one person is monopolizing almost every thread with her own agenda. Please stop monopolizing the threads with your own agenda. This agenda is about how you want the tribe to be without regard for the majority of active members who have disagreed with your agenda. I am providing info to people who wish toopen up who may have not noticed the need new mod threads.. their titles get tiresome. Having a mod who will hold up the stated purpose of the tribe will be great. The consensus has been that everyone but me and a few who stated that they were not going to post with Noname as a mod.. has been that Nonamea is fine. I have stopped askign for a new mod. People 2 - have opened their hearts and whiel that is a wonderful trusting action.. there is no mod operating in any way to maintain their open safety. I am NOT sabotaging nearly every single postiong. Glis.. I made a decision to support the group consensus about Noname and no longer ask for a new mod. You have no idea what I think or don't think. Iam tired of this Tribe's lenience in allowing Cathyq to sabotage nearly every single posting...she has no respect..or care for others here..and thinks everyone else needs to know about her pain and fear and victimhood...
