from the Relationships chapter of www.notimeforkarma.com:
"When we master relationships we will have mastered it all. When we stop giving our power away to people that we supposedly love but probably need, we will have recovered our power in every area of our life. Healing relationships is a very simple thing to discuss, but it is the most difficult lesson to do because we are working on releasing lifetimes of programming. It will take a great deal of vigilance, but being true to ourselves is all that is required to make our relationships work. Just pay attention, watch and pray.
What would happen if we could be in relationship with someone in a state of cosmic consciousness? We could not talk about our problems because we wouldn't experience any. Well, we may not be at a point of being totally cosmic with our partners but we can follow Emerson's advice "to become, act as if". Since we have traditionally used verbal communication to reinforce our separateness, not having anything to complain about presents a challenge. But now we will choose not to forget our source, God, and not to forget the big picture. Therefore we do not create repetitions of old problems by repeating old thoughts about them. Clean minds create clean relationships."

Re: clean minds/clean relationships
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 1:01 PMComplete mastery of our Selves is a fiction, often seemingly an obsession for those desperate to escape themselves for some reason (perhaps without having even examined who exactly they are in the first place, or maybe just an uncomfortable sense they aren't able to articulate) as well as indicative of a yearning to understand and connect to something so much larger; so much more compassionate and nurturing than what one might experience in a world gone whack.
Fictions can greating inform our understandings of ourselves....except if we're living a fiction.
Running down a dream...

Re: clean minds/clean relationships
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 5:00 PMWhen one has Perspective, there is no need for 'complete mastery'
Perspective lets one know that those roles, imposed values, and fictional stories others impose and we adopt, are not truly us. Our true selves run far deeper.
Perspective also lets us know that we all have these neurochemical and psychological structures (lfor example; the fight or flight chemicals, and the psychic ego), we are all interconnected in many similarities (going back to all of our mutual creator). Then, FORGIVENESS for ones self and others is not only easy, its the only rational thing you can do.
Get to that, and you won't need complete mastery, just a sense of being and forgiveness! -
